I found Elizabeth Cadell when I was in high school and reading my way through the Carbondale (PA) Public Library. I firmly believe that the BBC should make some of her books into TV series. My favorites are Corner Shop and Six Impossible Things.

I've loved Elizabeth Cadell's books since I was a teenager. They've always entertained me and provided an "escape" to another time and setting. I've always wanted to find "Elizabeth Cadell's" England in my trips there and her books were first gave me the desire to go to Portugal. Often, I've wished I could find myself in one of her sleepy villages and meet her characters.

I'm another long time Cadell fan. I've enjoyed her books for over 45 years and have collected almost all of them. Death Among Friends and River Lodge are the only two I haven't read yet! Am really enjoying being part of the Cadell group. I enjoy the discussions of both Cadell books and other suggestions given by members. Am delighted that E. Cadell's daughter has joined our group.

Finding this fan club is the fulfilled dreams of many, many years. I first read The Lark Shall Sing in 1963 (41 years ago?), and have been one of Elizabeth Cadell's "children" ever since. It's still my all-time favorite with Brimstone in the Garden a close second. Having Mrs. Cadell's daughter as part of our group is ecstasy!

My mother and I adore Mrs. Cadell's books! There are 45 of them in our county library system and we plan to read them all! I'm already tracking down the few they don't have on the net.
