I started with 'Fox from his Lair' and read anything by Mrs. Cadell I could lay my hands on. some of the books are so hard to find! I would love to read 'Men and Angels'. Anyone have any pointers on how to get a reading copy? Thanks!

For those who don't know, Miss Cadell died in 1989. I've only read "The Cuckoo in Spring (twice), because that's the only one of her books in the Saratoga (CA) library. I liked it. A mystery novel without blood and gore. dew

What a delight to find this website! Reading Elizabeth Cadell's books has been my special summer treat for over 3 decades, and I'm excited to find others who share this love of her books. How I wish they would be republished-- I'd gladly buy them all! My daughter is now approaching 20, and I'd love to share more of Elizabeth Cadell's books with her.

I came across Canary Yellow at a hotel I was staying in. It was at a very difficult time in my life and this book took my mind off my problems for a little while. Things are better now and I have since read about 30 more and I enjoy searching for yet more titles that I haven't read. I've gotten them from 3 different libraries and now I'm going to try inter-library loan requests.

How I wish she'd written a sequel with a happy ending to Spring Green; I read this book far less frequently than the others because it makes me cry every time.
